Staci L. Moss, Pharm.D., R.Ph, BCPS Staci L. Moss was born in Amarillo, TX and was diagnosed with chondrodysplasia punctata soon after. A 1994 graduate of Andrews High School in Andrews, Texas, she went to Sul Ross State University in Alpine, Texas to complete her pre-pharmacy requirements. She was graduated from Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center School of Pharmacy with her doctorate in pharmacy in May 2002. Upon graduation, she accepted a position at Covenant Medical Center in Lubbock, Texas, a 1300-bed hospital. During her tenure at Covenant, she has been given the opportunity to staff in all areas of the hospital. In 2005, Staci achieved a passing score and has been granted certification as a Board Certified Pharmacotherapy Specialist. She is currently pursuing a Master’s degree in Pharmacy Administration with an Emphasis in Regulation and Policy from the University of Florida. Currently, Dr. Moss is the Pharmacy Education Coordinator for Covenant Medical Center and Covenant Lakeside responsible for the training of new employees and education of pharmacy students, pharmacists, and technicians, ensuring competency of employees, and assisting in assuring compliance with JACHO standards. In 2006, she was appointed as a Clinical Associate Professor for Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center School of Pharmacy. She has served as the Lubbock Area Society of Health-System Pharmacists (LASHP) president-elect and president during 2005-2006. She has also represented the South Plains area as a board member of the Texas Society of Health-Systems Pharmacists.
In her personal life, Staci enjoys spending time with her family and friends, of which she has many. She loves to travel, especially to the coastal areas with beautiful beaches. Her hobbies include cooking and sewing. She “specializes” in quilting and needlepoint. One of her greatest pastimes is training and spending time with her Chihuahuas.
As Ms. Wheelchair Texas, Staci’s the two things she wants to accomplish are to increase awareness for the Ms. Wheelchair Texas organization across the state and to create a mentoring program between young people and professionals with physical challenges.
